Mechanical properties, in general, are properties
that result from mechanical loading of standardized test specimens. In
addition to all the standard mechanical tests, at Intertek PTL we also perform
the many variations of these tests that the plastic industry requires
including Elevated and Reduced Temperature Tensile
(ASTM D638, ISO 527) or Poisson’s
Ratio (ASTM D638, ISO 527). In fact almost all test can be performed
at non-ambient elevated or reduced temperature.
Physical properties like Bulk
Density (ASTM D1895), Specific
Gravity and Density
(ASTM 792, ASTM D1045, ISO 1183) are also performed at Plastics Technology
Laboratories, Inc. and in addition we have the ability for ASTM
and ISO Sample Preparation by Injection Molding, along with CNC Machining
and Compression Molding to assure that
your ASTM and ISO samples are properly prepared.

Abrasion (ASTM D1004, ASTM D3389, ASTM D4060), Thrust
